"We weren't too ambitious when we started out. We just wanted to be the biggest thing that ever walked the planet." It wasn’t just one of those conceited-pompous-thrown overstatement: it was a premonition. Steven Tyler knew exactly where Aerosmith were heading. Selling more than 150 million albums worldwide proved just that. The release of Toys In the Attic in 1975 catapulted Aerosmith into the superstardom status and 35 years on with years of hard work, hard touring and determination, “The Bad Boys from Boston” are still the best headliner band on the planet.

Aerosmith were shot at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in Los Angeles.

'This was a shoot I had felt a little nervous about doing, as I knew, having travelled all the way to Los Angeles, I did not want to return home with some pretty straight and standard shots, and to be honest I was a little scared of upsetting one of the world's most famous rock 'n' roll bands. I had spent half a day shooting the band as a whole, but on the main 2nd shoot day, the photographs were to only include Steven and Joe Perry. My last shot was in one of the hotel rooms, and unbeknown to the guys, I had arranged for a model/dancer to give the portraits a bit of humour by appearing in the background. To my amazement Steven and Joe seemed to get all shy - I thought these guys were god's gift to women!'
